COMMERCE -- Jefferson swept a pair of matches Thursday in girls volleyball action.
The Lady Dragons did not lose a game in knocking off host East Jackson 25-6, 26-24 and then Johnson, 25-16, 25-17, in the second match.
For Jefferson, Amanda Daniel had four aces, six kills, 33 assists, and two digs. Cassie Metcalf added seven kills and three digs, Taylor Cramsey had six aces, 17 kills, and two blocks, and Eden Starnes had eight kills and two digs.
Sarah Wood had six kills and four assists, Savanna Holland added six kills, and Hannah Murphy had two kills for the Lady Dragons.
Johnson then rebounded by beating East Jackson 25-20, 25-19 in the final match.
For the Lady Knights, Savannah Turk had two aces and five digs while Karis Sloan added two kills. Lindsey Anderson had four blocks for Johnson. Sophia Love had three aces and five assists, Kelly Chance added three aces, and Lejavian Ratliff had four kills for Johnson (10-11).
The Lady Knights next will take on Lakeview Academy and Tallulah Falls at Lakeview next Thursday.
