GAINESVILLE - North Georgia radio talk show host Martha Zoller will run for Georgia's newly-created 9th District congressional seat.
The Gainesville resident, who currently hosts a political talk show on an Athens-based radio station, is the second candidate to declare her candidacy for the post. Georgia State Rep. Doug Collins announced his decision to run for the seat last week.
Zoller said over the last several days she has visited most of the 20 counties in the newly-drawn district to see what's on the minds of voters.
"What I'm hearing from people are jobs and spending and the economy, and to a lesser degree, illegal immigration," said Zoller.
Zoller is a graduate of the Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia and began her talk radio career in 1994.
