3 incumbents sign up as qualifying opens for Gainesville elections

GAINESVILLE - Three incumbents filed re-election documents Monday morning as qualifying opened for this year's Gainesville city elections.

They are: Mayor Ruth Bruner, veteran city councilman and former mayor Bob Hamrick and school board member Sammy Smith.

Qualifying for the November elections ends at 4:30 on Wednesday.
