GAINESVILLE - Members of the Hall County Board of Education Monday night approved a local redistricting plan for the school system, a proposal that would change voting districts but not school attendance zones.
According to Schools Superintendent Will Schofield, the board will send the proposal to the county legislative delegation for review. In essence, the plan would move the Clermont precinct to the North Hall district from East Hall, move the Fork voting district from North to West Hall and move the Oakwood 2 voting district from South Hall into the West Hall district.
Schofield emphasized that the redistricting has no bearing on where students will attend school.
