Softball: Jackson Co. falls 4-3 in tourney

HOSCHTON -- The Jackson County softball team suffered a 4-3 loss to Peachtree Ridge in the Hawk/Bulldog Invitational on Tuesday in Hoschton.

The Lady Panthers (1-1) got a strong performance from Kortnee Satterfield in the pitcher's circle, giving up four earned runs, while striking out two.

Sophomore Mason Garland finished 2-for-4 with a triple, a single, and an RBI to help lead Jackson County at the plate. Senior Macey Latty also went 1-for-4 with a single and one run scored, while freshman, Alyssa Dasher finished 1-for-4 with a single and an RBI.

The Lady Panthers will play again Thursday in the Hawk/Bulldog tournament against Grayson.
