UNDATED - National Weather Service forecasters say a heat advisory covering much of Georgia will be in effect until Monday evening, as high temperatures approach the triple-digits in some parts of the state.
The area covered by the advisory is south of an Athens-Eatonton-Macon-Columbus line.
Weather service forecasters say the heat index is expected to range from 105-112 in parts of eastern and central Georgia.
The heat advisory is due to expire at 8:00 Monday night.
