The last time the Georgia Bulldogs played a competitive football game, they stumbled off the field owners of the program's first losing campaign in 14 years.
Losing in the Liberty Bowl to a game by a lightly-regarded Central Florida program was the nadir of a season that had even some of the staunchest supporters in the "Dawg Nation" howling and worrying about the state of all things Red and Black under coach Mark Richt. Judging by Richt's demeanor over the resulting months and the tenor of news (or lack thereof) emanating from Athens, coach and players agree.
A change in the strength and conditioning program has wrought more intensity in offseason training, while the normally-staid Richt has let slip some feistier moments in a few public appearances -- much to the delight of Georgia fans.
Of course these things alone won't put Georgia back into SEC championship contention, as the Bulldogs must answer a number of questions in 2011. But Georgia certainly has plenty of strengths
