GAINESVILLE - The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a hit and run accident in north Hall County over the weekend that left one woman hospitalized in critical condition.
Manuel Murrill Spear of Murrayville has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident, failure to yield right of way and driving on a suspended license in connection with the wreck that left Tina Michelle McGlothlin critically injured.
According to the GSP, Spear was driving a pick up truck pulling a boat behind him, when he pulled from Lee Road into the path of a motorcycle on Highway 60 Saturday around 12:40 a.m.
McGlothlin was a passenger on the motorcyle and was thrown from the bike into the boat trailer. She was transported to Grady Hospital in Atlanta with critical injuries.
Troopers said more charges are pending in the case.
