Stolen car found in Lanier

GAINESVILLE - A stolen car car has been found in Lake Lanier west of Gainesville.

Colonel Jeff Strickland of the Hall County Sheriff's Office said there was no one in the vehicle when a fisherman discovered it at Mountain View Park on Browns Bridge Road Tuesday afternoon.

Strickland said the blue 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser was reported stolen in June of last year from a home on Browns Bridge Road and appeared to have been in the water for quite some time.
