GAINESVILLE - Will Peeples fired a final round 2 under par 70 Sunday to win the 2011 City Championship at Chattahoochee Golf Club (CGC) by 5 shots over runner up Pep Brown. Peeples is now a two-time Champion, winning his first title in 2008.
The Championship A flight was won by Jimbo Wilkins. Wilkins shot a 3 round total of 232 winning by 3 shots over Jackson Bishop, Jeff Waggoner and Nathan Williams, all tied at 235.
Gene Weschler was the victor in the 1st flight with a 2 day total of 151. Second place was Doug Glidden with a total of 155.
Winning the 2nd flight was Clay Hoffman with a 36 hole total of 169. Hoffman was 5 shots clear of Bill Hardman who finished 2nd with 174.
In the overall net division, Jimbo Wilkins was the winner after a 2 hole sudden death playoff win over Jeff Waggoner.
