DENVER -- Atlanta Braves right fielder Jason Heyward has been scratched from his start Monday night at Colorado because of a bruised left foot.
Heyward, who was hit by a pitch Sunday against Washington, was replaced by Nate McLouth, who batted eighth.
A second-year player who was voted to start in last year's All-Star game, Heyward is hitting .224 with nine homers and 23 RBIs. He had been slated to bat sixth against the Rockies.
