Good for Nothing

What a good for nothing so and so! We all know someone who falls into that category. It's an old phrase that has managed to stay fresh in its absolute ability to describe someone who is...well, good for nothing. It doesn't need any other words attached to it or any examples of what caused this person to be in such a category. When someone says it about another, we all fully understand the context of the phrase. Most of us have used it at one time or another to describe someone else and I dare say that it has also been used on a few of us. It is an utterance that will induce our best impersonation of the famous Muhammad Ali "bob and weave," to avoid it connecting with us.<br /> <br /> But, there are also circumstances where it can be a compliment to be "good for nothing."
