Walmart worker crashes into store

By Staff
SUWANEE - No one was hurt when an employee intentionally rammed her car into the front of the Walmart store on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road Friday morning.

Suwanee police said they don't know what prompted Rachel Newman of Lawrenceville to back her vehicle into the front entrance of the store around 6:30 a.m. But, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, she was charged with felony aggravated assault and felony criminal damage to property as well as misdemeanor reckless conduct.

The felony charges apparently stemmed from the fact that customers and employees were inside the store at the time of the incident.

Newman had worked at the Suwanee Walmart store as a sales associate in the photo lab since March.

Newman was arrested at the scene and taken to the Gwinnett County Jail.
