CLEVELAND - Someone is stealing pedigree dogs in White County and the sheriff's office is turning to the public for help.
The thefts involving the pedigree or AKC-registered dogs have been occurring in White County over the past three months or so.
The sheriff is especially interested in hearing from anyone who has suffered the theft of such an animal and never filed a report. He would also like to hear from anyone who has had a dog stolen and then paid a reward for its return.
The sheriff's office can be reached at 706-865-5177.
