GAINESVILLE - With one town hall meeting on the Hall County budget, it's $11.5 million shortfall and talk of a tax increase in the books, another has been scheduled for next week in Gainesville.
County Commissioner Ashley Bell said Thursday it will be held at 9:30 Saturday morning, June 11, at the Fair Street Neighborhood Center.
"We have tough decisions to make on this budget," Bell said. "I want to make myself and county staff available to the public to give my constituents the opportunity to ask questions and give input."
The discussion will be part of "The One Community Organization" monthly community meeting with elected officials from Hall County Commission District 4 and City Council Wards 3 and 4.
Thursday night's meeting in Clermont, hosted by County Commissioner Scott Gibbs, attracted a standing-room-only crowd.
