CLEVELAND - A suspect was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon after an attempted armed robbery at the Kountry Kupboard on West Kytle Street in Cleveland.
Cleveland Police Chief John Foster said the man attempted the robbery around 2:00 p.m.
The suspect fled the scene, apparently without any money. He was apprehended a short distance away on Hunt Road, with the assistance of the White County Sheriff's Office and Dawson County K-9 unit. No one was injured in the incident.
Foster did not immediately identify the suspect.
