Chandler Massey nominated for Emmy

UNDATED - An actor with strong Gainesville ties has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy.

Chandler Massey, who plays Will Horton on ABC's "Days of Our Lives," was nominated Wednesday morning for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series.

Massey is the son of former Georgia Secretary of State and Gainesville native Lewis Massey, and he is the grandson of Gainesville resident Abit Massey, who serves as president emeritus for the Georgia Poultry Federation.

The 38th annual awards show will be held June 19 at the Las Vegas Hilton and will be televised on CBS.
