Hoschton council eyeing Nov. 8 Sunday beer, wine vote

By Ken Stanford Contributing Editor
HOSCHTON - Add Hoschton to the list of towns in northeast Georgia moving ahead on the Sunday alcoholic beverage question.

City Clerk Cindy George confirmed Friday that councilman Richard Shepherd has introduced an ordinance that would permit convenience stores in Hoschton to sell beer and wine between 12:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on Sundays. Hoschton has no grocery or liquor stores.

The council is expected to vote on the matter June 6 and, if it approves, the referendum would be held November 8.
