ATLANTA - Having a blessed last name meant good luck for one Georgia woman.
Betty J. Easter of Blairsville won $1 million from the Georgia Lottery on Good Friday playing an instant game. The 75-year-old also won two $1,000 prizes playing other instant games one on the day of her big jackpot and one a few days prior.
"I'm blown away," said Easter, 75. "It's just luck, I guess."
She and her husband, Gollie Easter, have two adult daughters, a son and one granddaughter.
Easter plans to spend a portion of her winnings on her granddaughter, who is 14 years old.
"I'm just great. I'm thrilled," Easter shared.
Easter bought the $1 million Millionaire's Celebration game ticket at Rebels Pantry at 430 Young Harris Highway in Blairsville.
