Baseball: GHS routs Monroe Area

MONROE -- Gainesville remained one-half game behind White County in Region 8-AAA after taking a 13-0, five-inning win over Monroe Area Friday night.

Stephen Mason got the win pitching four innings allowing three hits and fanning six.

David Gonzalez led a 14-hit attack for the Red Elephants (14-3, 12-3 region) with three hits, including a home run, and three RBI. Skyler Weber, Ryan Griffith and Michael Gettys also hit home runs for Gainesville.

Gainesville next will travel to West Hall on Monday.
