Body discovered in creek behind New Holland Mill

GAINESVILLE - A body has been discovered behind New Holland Mill in Gainesville.

Hall County Sheriff's Col. Jeff Strickland said a landscaping crew found the body around 2 p.m. Monday while working on the mill's fence line near the railroad tracks.

"The body is a male and was discovered in a shallow creek and is badly decomposed," said Strickland.

No identity or cause of death is available at this time.
