ATLANTA - Law officers from several agencies arrested more than 100 fugitives during three "warrant round-ups."
The Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the U.S. Marshals Services said the fugitives were arrested on charges that included murder, armed robbery, kidnapping and aggravated assault in the round-ups, conducted in the past week.
Authorities said in a statement that one of the significant suspects arrested was Leon Dewon Curtis in Gadsden, Ala. Authorities said he is accused of severely beating his girlfriend's 3-year-old daughter, who remains in critical condition.
Authorities also highlighted the arrest of Chad Cohen in metro Atlanta's DeKalb County. Authorities say Cohen is accused of being involved in the slaying of a man in North Charleston, S.C., in February. It was not immediately known if Curtis or Cohen have attorneys.
