ATLANTA -- Iman Shumpert says he is impressed with Brian Gregory's first week as Georgia Tech's coach and believes he would become a better player if he returns for his senior season.
Even so, the 6-foot-5 Shumpert says he hasn't changed his mind about testing his NBA options.
Shumpert, who led the Yellow Jackets with his 17.3 points per game, says he believes he would be selected by late in the first round or early in the second round if he enters the NBA draft. He is awaiting projections from the NBA before he commits to the draft.
Shumpert says Gregory, the former Dayton coach who was introduced at Georgia Tech on Monday, has been so busy "I don't even think he's slept yet."
Shumpert says players are embracing Gregory because they want to improve on their 13-18 record this season.
