OAKWOOD -- North Hall pounded four home runs in a 15-hit attack in a 22-7 thumping of Johnson Thursday in Region 8-AAA baseball action.
The Trojans (11-3, 10-2 in region) kept pace with Gainesville atop the region standings with the win.
Mason Savage, Jesse Strickland, Griffin Olson, and Cody Fowler all had home runs for North Hall. Savage had a huge game with three hits and five RBI to lead the Trojans.
Olson had three hits and four RBI, Chris Stevens had three hits, had two hits and four RBI, and Fowler finished with two hits for North Hall.
Wade Phillips earned the win for the Trojans, who play host to White County Friday in a battle for a share of first place in the region.
A.J. Benefield took the loss on the mound for Johnson. Jordan Green and Cesar Gutierrez also pitched in relief for the Knights (7-7, 6-6). Brandon Adams hit a three-run homer for the Knights and Trae Wilson and Benefield added two hits each for Johnson.
