RABBITTOWN -- The East Hall soccer teams split a pair of Area 8-AA games against Union County Thursday night.
The East Hall boys took a tough 4-3 win over the Panthers as Nikko Andrade recorded a hat-trick for the Vikings and added one assist. Julio Avila scored the other goal for East Hall with Jorge Mesa, Ricardo Rosales, and Edgar Cerrano all getting assists for the Vikings.
Abel Olvera had five high quality saves in goal to preserve the win for the Vikings.
The Lady Vikings dropped a 6-1 decision to the Lady Panthers. Tatiana Castillo scored the only goal of the night for East Hall with Bertha Rondan getting an assist.
Both teams play in the Area 8-AA region tournament, which begins on April 12.
