LAWRENCEVILLE - A total of four suspects have been arrested and another remains at large in connection with a string of armored car robberies, including one at the Mall of Georgia.
Gwinnett County authorities said 27-year-old Ashley Henderson is now in custody, as is 32-year-old Veronica Bullard, an employee of the armored car company Dunbar Armored.
Officials said they're still looking for 28-year-old Edward Thornton, who has been charged with two counts of armed robbery.
They said the suspects arrested Wednesday, Stacey Lamont Dooley and Quinton Lamar Booker, are now facing additional charges in connection with the crimes, which began in the fall of 2010 and includes the murder of an armored car guard.
Three of the eight robberies occurred in Gwinnett County in November and December of 2010: the first at the Bank of America in Buford at the Mall of Georgia on November 11, the second at the Wells Fargo in Centerville on November 29, and the third inside the Mall of Georgia on December 7. In the December 7 robbery, an armed guard fired one round at the suspects as they escaped inside the mall. In all three of the cases in Gwinnett, the guards were refilling ATMs.
