CUMMING - Motorists using a section of busy Georgia Highway 20 in Forsyth County can expect some delays next week.
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) plans some routine maintenance work starting Tuesday on Georgia 20 from downtown Cumming to Georgia Highway 9. The work will take place weekdays only from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
"Georgia DOT Maintenance Crews will remove damaged sections of SR 20 and replace it with new asphalt," GDOT District Engineer Todd McDuffie said. "A combination of flaggers and pilot vehicles will be used in the work zone to direct traffic through the area. We hope to complete the work in five days if the weather cooperates."
