After an early-season 3-2 loss to White County, the Chestatee girls tennis team returned the favor Thursday.
The Lady War Eagles' Fernanda Arcaraz knocked off White County's Hannah Kidd in a thrilling match at No. 2 singles, 7-5, 6-4 to secure the victory for Chestatee.
Chestatee got its first two points by sweeping the doubles matches. Emily Elder and Sarah Beth Tankersley continuing their undefeated run with a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Heather Herdliska and Aubrie Gstalden in the No. 1 match and Lauren McNitt and Lily Kiang beating Emma Harris and Rachel Black at 6-3, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.
White County got wins at No. 1 singles when Sara Beth Cummins defeated Chestatee's Tiffani Poole and at No. 3 singles with Taylor Freeman holding off Carly Dale 6-4, 7-5.
