GAINESVILLE -- The Gainesville girls golf team nipped White County by one stroke in a dual match at Chattahoochee Golf Course Thursday.
The Lady Elephants, fresh off another Hall County Championship title, shot a 94 to White County's 95 to win the match.
Gainesville's Meg Callahan and White County's Jodi Samples each fired a 46 to share low medalist honors. Morgan Reece shot a 48 for Gainesville while Brittan Flaton posted a 49 to give the Lady Elephants the one-stroke edge.
Both teams will take part in the Chattahoochee Invitational Saturday at the Chattahoochee Golf Course.
