The East Hall boys tennis team kept a couple of amazing early-season streaks going Thursday.
The Vikings won their third straight match, knocking off Dawson County 5-0 in Region 8A-AA play. East Hall (3-1, 2-0 in subregion) has not lost a set in subregion play so far this season and No. 1 singles player Dane Allen stayed a perfect 4-0 on the season by acing Spencer Roper 6-0, 6-0. Allen has lost just four games in matches played so far in 2011.
At No. 2 singles, Patricio Cruz held off Cameron Milholland 6-3, 7-6 (7-5) while Peter Truong whipped Lane Ventors 6-2, 6-0 at no. 3 singles.
In doubles action, the No. 1 teams of Carlos De La Cruz and Austin Greenway beat Jon Branson and Conner Tarver in a tight match 7-6 (7-3), 6-4. East Hall's Stephen Pope and Nathan Vandiver beat Stephen Johnson and Grant Shope 6-0, 7-5 at No. 2 doubles.
