Baseball: Knights fall to Franklin County

CARNESVILLE -- Franklin County's Tyler Freeman fanned eight and allowed just five hits in leading the Lions to a 11-1 win over Johnson in Region 8-AAA baseball action Friday night.

Logan Pethel, Taylor Whitmire, Chris White, A.J. Benefield, and Jordan Green each had one hit for Johnson.

Chris White had a solid performance on the mound for the Knights, striking out seven batters, but six errors by the Johnson defense spelled doom. Cody Lewallen pitched 2 innings in relief for Johnson.

Johnson (2-2, 1-1 in region) plays host to White County on Monday.
