GAINESVILLE -- The Chestatee boys tennis team swept White County 5-0 Tuesday in Region 8A-AAA action at Chestatee.
In the No. 1 singles match, Jonathan Cook defeated Preston Biggers 6-1, 6-1. Jeremiah Reed beat Joe Dockery 7-5, 6-0 at No. 2 singles. Ben Hassler topped Ethan McCallister, 6-2, 7-6 (7-1) in No. 3 singles.
In doubles, Pearce Gruenenfelder and Blaine Brown came back from a set down to beat Dee Chambers and James Bowers 3-6, 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1. At No. 2 doubles, Jeremy Atkins and Casey Campbell completed the team sweep with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Cam Seagraves and Micah Haughton.
