GAINESVILLE - Despite this morning's rains, the outdoor burn ban in Hall County remains in effect today, for the second straight day.
County officials say no burn permits will be issued today because of the windy conditions. A wind adivsory is in effect for most of the state until 5:00 for winds gusting up to 35 miles-an-hour.
Rainfall overnight at Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport totaled .25 inches.
The rains were part of a line of thunderstorms that rumbled through north Georgia early today leaving behind some downed trees in northwest Georgia but there were no reports of any injuries.
