MURRAYVILLE -- North Hall opened its baseball season with a 5-3 win over Habersham Central at home Monday.
The Trojans (1-0) got five solid innings from starter Chris Stevens, who earned the win allowing five and three runs. Preston Graham earned the save pitching two scoreless innings to finish the game.
North Hall pounded out six hits, paced by Jesse Strickland, who went 3-for-4 with a double and one RBI. Whit Bowen had a double and Graham had a two-run triple for the Trojans. Stevens and Zach Mize also had one RBI for North Hall.
The Trojans next will play host to Flowery Branch on Thursday at 5 p.m.
