Georgia QB Murray sprains ankle in soccer game

By The Associated Press
ATHENS -- Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray has sustained a sprained right ankle in a pickup soccer game. He should be recovered in time for spring practice.

The school's director of sports medicine, Ron Courson, says Murray was evaluated by team physicians after being hurt Saturday. X-rays were negative, and an MRI performed Monday confirmed it was only a sprain.

Murray will need to go through some rehab, but Courson says he should be recovered in time for the start of spring practice next month.

After sitting out in 2009, Murray started all 13 games last season as a redshirt freshman. He completed more than 61 percent of his passes for 3,049 yards and 24 touchdowns, with only eight interceptions.
