City, county appliance pick up scheduled

GAINESVILLE - If you live in Hall County and have large household appliances you need to get rid of an don't want to haul them off yourself, you can register between now and March 4th to have it done for you free of charge.

To register, call Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Feb. 21 to March 4.

Hall County residents: 770-536-7225
Gainesville city residents: 770-532-0493

Registration is required for items to be picked up. Residents will be given a specific date to have their items out at the curb. Up to three items per household will be accepted, including stoves, washers, water heaters, refrigerators/freezers, dryers and dish washers.

For safety, city and county officials ask that you please remove doors from appliances that could trap a child.
