GAINESVILLE - The Hall County Sheriff's Office has announced the starting date of the 12th biannual session of the Sheriff's Office Citizens' Academy.<br />

The academy, a seven-week, 14-session program designated to inform residents about the role of the Sheriff's Office performs in the Hall County community, is set to begin Tuesday March 1.<br />
<br />
Classes will meet weekly from 6 to 9 P.M. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Sheriff's Office Law Enforcement Center on Main Street in Gainesville. The program consists of both classroom and practical exercises with citizen participation welcome.<br />
<br />
Topics that will be covered include the Court Services Division, the Detention Center, Uniform Patrol Division, and Criminal Investigations. <br />
