Lutz files bankruptcy

GAINESVILLE - Hall County's newest county commissioners have now each filed for bankruptcy.

Craig Lutz, who lost his job with AT&T several months ago, has filed for personal bankruptcy protection.

"With the dramatic change in our income when I left AT&T to take the commissioner's position, my wife and I decided to reorganize and restructure our debt," Lutz said Tuesday morning in confirming the filing.

Commissioner Scott Gibbs, who was elected at the same time as Lutz last fall, filed a business bankruptcy for J.D. Gibbs Grading last year, blaming the downturn in the economy for his financial problems.
