Girls basketball: North Hall routs Lumpkin to keep pace in 8A-AAA

DAHLONEGA -- North Hall rebounded from a tough loss to Franklin County Friday night by whipping Lumpkin County 63-30 Saturday in a key Region 8A-AAA game.

The Lady Trojans (12-12, 7-2 in subregion) remained one-half game behind first place Chestatee (19-4, 7-1) in the subregion standings with the win. North Hall will close out the regular season at home against Stephens County on Tuesday while Chestatee has road games remaining against White County and Franklin County.

Against Lumpkin County, McKenna Rushton poured in 20 points to go with nine rebounds to pace North Hall.

Taylor Swoszowski added 13 points and eight assists for the Lady Trojans.
