DANIELSVILLE -- Class AA No. 3 Buford got an unexpected lift from Sheresee Williams in taking a 53-29 win over Class AAAA Madison County Saturday night.
Williams finished with a game-high 15 points to lead the Lady Wolves (19-2). Buford got 13 points from Kaela Davis and Joyclyn Kinsey had 11. Andraya carter had just five points as she battled foul trouble the entire night.
Buford next will play host to No. 8 Greater Atlanta Christian on Tuesday for what is sure to be the deciding game for the Region 6A-AA subregion championship. Buford beat GAC 58-42 last month in their first meeting, but the Lady Wolves will have subregion games left against Avondale and Cross Keys following GAC.
