TIGER -- Rabun County held Union County to just five fourth quarter points in rallying for a 47-39 win in Region 8A-AA action Tuesday night.
Rabun trailed most of the night and by five entering the fourth but then turned up the defense.
Uunion County (10-9, 3-3 in subregion)led 10-6 after one quarter and 21-17 at the half. The Lady Panthers extended the lead to 34-29 heading into the fourth quarter.
But Rabun County (19-1, 5-1) used a 7-0 run to start the fourth quarter to grab the lead and never trailed again.
Becka Merritt paced Union County with 11 points. Holli Abernathy added nine points.
