Police in Savannah say a woman who found a masked, armed man in the backseat of her car as she was leaving work took the uninvited passenger on a wild ride before crashing her vehicle.
The Savannah Morning News reports that police say the woman, a 50-year-old nurse, stepped on the accelerator when she spotted a man in a ski mask in the backseat of her GMC Yukon around 8 p.m. Friday. Police say the man put a gun to her head and threatened to kill her. The female driver struck a car and street sign and jumped a concrete media to attract the attention of others.
Police said no one was injured and that the gunman remained at large Saturday night.
