UNDATED - We may in for some pre-holiday nasty weather today, weather that is more like spring time than Christmas time.
The Weather Channel's John Askins John Askins tells Georgia News Network some strong storms are possible this afternoon, along with unusually warm temperatures.
Temperatures across north Georgia have been running well-above average, for the most part, so far this month.
For instance, at Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport in Gainesville, readings were above average on 14 of the first 21 days of December. The highest was 68 on both December 15 and 16, 13 degrees above normal for both days. Overnight lows those days were 46, also 13 degrees warmer than normal for the dates.
