GAINESVILLE -- Tavia Sykes and Cara Chilton outscored the entire Johnson team in leading the Flowery Branch girls basketball team to a 61-42 win in the consolation round of the Lanierland Tournament Tuesday at the East Hall gym.
Sykes finished with 27 points and Chilton 24 as the smaller Lady Knights had no answer for the two inside players.
Flowery Branch opened with a 19-6 first quarter and then cruised the rest of the way.
Harlee Robson led Johnson with 15 points.

Skylar Evanson poured in 18 points to lead the Lady Dragons to a close win in the consolation round. Jefferson rallied from an early first quarter deficit to take a 24-18 lead at halftime.
West Hall cut the lead to 26-24 heading into the fourth quarter but Jefferson was able to hold on down the stretch.
Briana Whatley added nine points for Jefferson.
West Hall was paced by Brooke Reed with eight points.
