Hall offices closing for extended hours this week

GAINESVILLE - Hall County offices will be closed for an extended period of time over the Christmas holidays because of a furlough day.

Administrative offices, courts and community centers will be closed Dec. 22-26, for an employee furlough day and the Christmas holidays. They'll also be closed Jan. 2 for the New Year's holiday.

The landfill will be closed for Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Compactor sites will be closed Christmas Day only.

As usual, essential public safety and public works personnel will continue on the job during the furlough. Many county services are always available online: residents can renew a vehicle tag, find a new pet, pay taxes, and more at hallcounty.org.
