Man robbed, assaulted outside Lenox Park Apartments

GAINESVILLE - Gainesville Police are investigating after a man was robbed and assaulted outside of Lenox Park Apartments this weekend.

According to Officer Kevin Holbrook, the victim was assaulted by a number of black males Saturday night who also stole his cell phone and an undisclosed amount of cash from him.

"Upon the officers' arrival, they did make contact with the victim, who did receive what appeared to be a broken jaw, and he was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center," he said.

Holbrook said the incident does not appear to be a random act of violence.
