Jackson Co. schools conducting Student Health Survey

JEFFERSON - Jackson County has begun a two-month Student Health Survey, targeting 6th- through 12th-graders.

The survey, which will continue through January, addresses "destructive" behaviors among students.

Included in the online survey are questions about the use of alcohol, tobacco and drugs. as well as bullying. The assessment is part of Georgia's Safe and Drug Free Schools program.

A copy of the survey is available at each affected school and on their Web sites, and is posted on the Jackson County Schools website under "Safe and Drug Free Schools Resources."

Parents are encouraged to view the survey prior to a child's participation. The survey are anonymous.
