GAINESVILLE - Faced with the prospect of being fired, the Hall County jailer who was arrested over the weekend following a domestic incident involving a woman friend has resigned.
Conner Comeaux was arrested early Saturday along with the woman at a house on Venture Drive in northwest Hall County. (See earlier story.)
Sheriff's office spokesman Stephen Wilbanks says Comeaux resigned Monday morning "in lieu of being terminated."
