JASPER -- The North Hall boys basketball team took out Pickens on Tuesday, beating the Dragons 66-51 on the road.
The Trojans (2-0) led just 10-9 after the first quarter but a 17-11 second quarter gave them a 27-20 halftime. They led 44-37 after three quarters but blew the game open with a 22-14 fourth quarter.
Preston Smith paced North Hall with 19 points. Griffin Olson added 13 points and Ethan Smith 12 points for the Trojans.
The loss for Pickens (2-3) snapped the Dragons' two-game win streak. Spencer Jones led Pickens with 14 points. Austin Murphy added 13 for the Dragons.
