BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Alabama tailback Trent Richardson and South Carolina quarterback Connor Shaw shared Southeastern Conference offensive player of the week honors.
Richardson rushed for a career-high 203 yards and scored on a 5-yard reception against Auburn. Shaw, a Flowery Branch High graduate, passed for 210 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for another 107 yards against Clemson.
LSU defensive back Tyrann Mathieu received defensive honors Monday. He had eight tackles, forced two fumbles and scored on a 92-yard punt return against Arkansas while playing out of position.
Kentucky punter Ryan Tydlacka claimed the special teams award after averaging 43.6 yards on nine punts.
Co-offensive line honors went to Vanderbilt's Kyle Fischer and Alabama's William Vlachos. Georgia's Garrison Smith and Mississippi State's Fletcher Cox split the defensive line award.
LSU running back Kenny Hilliard is the top freshman.
